Clubhouse International. Clubhouse was founded in 1948 in New York. We will follow the 37 standards of the Clubhouse model. Granite House is an internationally accredited program that helps it’s members find social support right here in the Wausau area.
Granite House is a non-profit organization and free of any auspice agency. We have a board of directors that meets monthly that will all collaboratively make decisions so Granite House can be successful.
What will we provide our members?
Granite House will provide a safe and secure environment for people living with a mental illness feel needed, wanted and not judged. We will address life skills and engage side by side with our members to help build those important life skills so members can live as independent of a life as they can. Granite House will help build confidence, self-worth, and self esteem for members.
Granite House helps members work together to empower each other and find resources and basic needs.
Members and staff develop meaningful relationships,
providing a community of support to avoid isolation in a welcoming and safe place.
This proven model enables members to build a better life for themselves and to become productive citizens of the community.
